Why glycinate

Magnesium glycinate (also called magnesium bisglycinate) is magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine. That bond is a chelate. It is not a flavor. It is the form.

People reach for glycinate when they want nervous system function, bone health, and relaxation.* Oxide is cheaper and often harder on the gut. Citrate is a different salt with a different use. Those are not this product. The honest comparison is the form on the panel and the elemental milligrams per serving. Side-by-side: Glycinate vs oxide vs citrate.

A serving is 3 capsules. That serving provides 275 mg of elemental magnesium from 2,500 mg magnesium glycinate. The 2,500 mg is the chelate. The 275 mg is the magnesium. Compare that number per serving, not milligrams of the salt, and not the amount in the whole bottle.
